Passed away peacefully on Sunday September 9, 2018. Delmar was born October 22, 1928, in Grant County Indiana, the son of Clayton and Edna (Schultz) Adkins, and had resided in Galesburg since 1965. He married Joyce Dobson on June 24, 1947, in Van Buren, IN. Joyce preceded him in death in 1995.
Surviving are 5 children and their spouses, Harold and Bonnie Adkins of Vicksburg, Delmar L. Adkins of Vicksburg, Bob Adkins of Galesburg, Brenda and Jim Mussulman of Marshfield, MO, and Kathy J. Adkins of Galesburg; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and 2 sisters, Charles “Chub” and Clayton “Pete” Adkins and Barbara Ann, who preceded him in death, and, Dixie Spitler of Garrett, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
