Dell Stanley Adams
West Haven – Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, Dell Stanley Adams, returned to his Heavenly Father on October 26, 2016 in his home surrounded by his nieces and family after a long battle of pain which he fought to the end.
Dell was born in Ogden on July 4, 1929 to Raymond T. and Sarah Ellen Adams. Dell was always proud of his birthday because he thought everyone was celebrating his birthday with parades and fun times. Dell graduated from Ogden High School and was the second of three brothers, Raymond H. (deceased) and Arthur J. Adams.
Dell married Bonnie Olsen on May 12, 1966 in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. He was an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They have been happily married for over 50 years enjoying life together, whether it be working, traveling to several parts of the country or being with their friends for the past 26 years in St. George, Utah.
After High School he was in the Naval Reserve for many years where he enjoyed the friendship of others.
At age 15, Dell’s first job was to ride his bike and deliver magazines, Liberty, True Story and Sunday Mirror to downtown businesses. His teenage years he worked at Mutual Creameries and a short time for OUR&D Railroad.
He then worked for Utah Power and Light and retired from the company after working for 37 years.
