Mrs. Delia Delores Shepherd, quietly went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, August 30th, 2022. She was born in Greensboro, NC June 29th, 1953 to the late Thomas and Evelyn Wheless.

 

She was a graduate of Dudley High School and retired from K&W Restaurant in Greensboro, NC.  She worked in different industries and held different positions, but she took pride in every one and enjoyed serving people. She was a faithful and loyal member of Genesis Baptist Church, were she served as an usher.

 

She really enjoyed living her life to the fullest with people. She truly loved entertaining and feeding everyone.  She was no stranger to people, when you met her, you will not forget either of her famous sayings, such as “You know that’s right” or “Let me share this with you” or “All you have to do is keep it real” and if you have not heard those “sayings” then you most know her by always throwing that “peace sign” up in every picture.  She had a style and disposition that you will always remember because she is truly one of a kind.  

 

She enjoyed music, dancing, traveling, serving people and watching soap operas and western shows.  You can always count on sister to entertain you, give you a laugh, advice and a full belly.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Thomas C. Wheless

Left to cherish loving memories, her husband Glen Shepherd, Two (2) Sons, Anthony Charles Wheless and Tyson Harrison.  Five (5) sisters:  Sylvia Russell, Faye Wheless, Cynthia Harrison, Diane Wheless, all of Greensboro, NC and Evelyn Garris (Rodney) Youngsville, NC one (1) brother Roderick Wheless, Greensboro NC, and hosts of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
