Delbert Eugene Leisure Sr., 76, Anderson, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 28, 2011.
He was born October 6, 1934 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Anderson most of his life, moving to Florida for 20 years and returning to Anderson in 1992. Delbert served his country in the US Navy. He was a pipefitter at Moore Pipe and Sprinkler in Florida. Delbert was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, the Academy of Model Aeronautics and Fall Creek Valley Conservation Club. He was an amateur radio operator.
He is survived by his children, Miles Leisure QixiaLiu, Dwight David Leisure Sr. Fiancee Teresa Farmer, Mary McGurn and Charles Thompson Terri; sister, Harriett Gillespie; numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; the church family and his flying buddies. Special thanks to all the medical caregivers for all their love and concern.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Judith Fox Leisure; son, Delbert E. Leisure Jr.; parents, Miles L. & Edith Rose Michaels Leisure; two grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.
