Delana Mae Logan Ayers, 98, of Rivesville, WV , passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, January 5th, 2012. She was born in Auxier, Kentucky on November 4th 1913, the daughter of James Franklin and Myrtle Mae Copley Logan. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Ellen Logan Goff Brooks and infant Myrtle Logan; Nathan C. Goff, nephew, of Clarksburg; and Barbara Goff Lewis, niece, of New Castle, PA. Delana was married to Clarence Ayers of Shinnston for 33 years where they resided. Delana later moved to Baltimore, MD where she worked as an LPN at Spring Grover Hospital Center until she retired in 1983. After retirement she resided with her friend and relative, Gladys Heldreth, of Enterprise for 17 years. She then went to live with her niece, Marlene DeWitt of Rivesville, where she resided for 13 years. Delana was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Enterprise. She was a virtuous woman who lived her life dedicated to serving the Lord. Delana was loved very much by her family and friends and she will be greatly missed. Surviving relatives include a nephew, James Walter Goff of Shinnston; two nieces – Marlene DeWitt of Rivesville and Jo Ann L. Warner of West union; Nephews – Marshall Goff of Clarksburg, Shawn Stevens of Fairmont; Karry DeWitt of Fairmont, Scott DeWitt of Fairmont, Austen Levi DeWitt of Rivesville, Robert Lewis of South Carolina, Ronald Lewis of Columbia, Ohio; Nieces – Susan Lynne Fluharty Davis of Brookville, Oh, Frankie Jo Warner of Austin, TX, Tara Gilchrist of Morgantown, Penny Lewis of New Castle, PA, Tina Goff Gallo of Clarksburg, Audra Goff Wardle of Baltimore, MD, and Jamie Goff Kraegenbrink of Fairmont, WV.
