DeLaine J. Heyrend, 84, of Idaho Falls, passed away March 23, 2016, at Teton Post Acute Care & Rehabilitation Center after a courageous three-year battle with leukemia.
DeLaine was born July 11, 1931, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to George Heyrend and Thelma Jennings Heyrend. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. He entered the U. S. Navy in 1948 and served as a solo pilot.
On March 20, 1957, he married the love of his life, Darla Marie Sides, in Elko, Nevada. To this union were born six children, Tamera, Shawna, Lana, Todd, Shane, and Travis. A lifelong resident of Idaho Falls, DeLaine owned and operated Heyrend Produce, Inc. DeLaine and Darla were married 57 years before she passed away May 3, 2015.
