Debra Lou Allen, 71, of Anchorage, Alaska passed away peacefully with her two children by her side, on January 7, 2021, after a courageous battle with Covid-19. Debbie was born on October 24, 1949 in Morgantown, West Virginia. She was the youngest daughter of the late James P. and Edna L. Morris. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Slayton of Albuquerque, NM; her son Jeremy Allen and his wife Kelly of Knoxville, TN, and her three grandchildren; Kelsey Slayton (20), Nolan Allen (7) and Avery Allen (5). She is also survived by her sister Patricia Reinbold, of Bartlett, TN, as well many extended family members, and dear friends.

Debra was known for her generosity, kindness, and love of cooking for her friends and family. She enjoyed traveling, and spending time by the ocean. Her greatest joy was spending time with her three grandchildren, and making memories with them. She took pride in volunteering in the local community, always making sure to put others above herself. She loved to volunteer at Providence Hospital, Clare House, Alaska Gospel Mission, and the Horizon House.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Debra retired from the State of Alaska, and the Municipality of Anchorage, where she worked for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents James and Edna Morris, sister Dreama Smith, and sister Barbara Christine Headley.
