Debra Lee Kingbird, 64, from Cass Lake, Minnesota started her journey to the spirit world from her home in Mahnomen, MN on Saturday, January 2nd, 2021.  Debbie was born in Cass Lake, MN on December 23rd, 1956 to Loretta (Kingbird) Brown and Charles Staples, Sr.

Debbie grew up in Cass Lake where she was raised by her parents Loretta and Frank Brown.  She attended Bemidji High School and later moved to on to work at the Cass Lake Food Distribution as a secretary.  Debbie later had two children, a son Shane and a baby girl Natasha Lee.  She met the love of her life of 39 years Francis “Bee-Bop” Clark, Jr. and they moved to the White Earth Reservation in 2007.  Debbie enjoyed spending her time with family and friends, watching and spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.  She liked to play Yahtzee, going to the casino, going for rides with Bee-Bop and was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan; watching them play every Sunday.

Those that welcome Debbie home to the spirit world are her son, Shane Kingbird, Sr.; daughter, Natasha Kingbird; parents, Frank and Loretta Brown; father, Charles Staples, Sr.; brothers, Charles Staples III, Ronald Staples, David Staples and Scott Brown and many other relatives.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are the love of her life, Francis Clark, Jr.; sisters, Sandra Charnoski, Evelyn “Evie” Brown, Bonnie (Joe) Beaulieu and Cheryl Staples; brothers, Franklin Brown, Bernie (Cheryl) Brown, Sr., Curtis (Sue) Brown, Sr., Scott (Kara) Staples, Michael (Josette) Staples, Richard Staples and Paul Staples, four grandchildren, Ani, Andrea, Shane Jr. and Franklin; two great grandchildren, Shane III and Jade, special friend, Val Thompson and many more family members and friends.
