Deborah V. Swift, age 51 of Beaverton died on Tuesday, November 27 2012 at her residence.
The daughter of the late Harold and Donna (Gandy) Lewis was born in Midland on March 12, 1961 and graduated from Bullock Creek High School in 1979. On November 20, 1992 she married Charles Swift in Tawas and he survives. Debora had worked for the Gladwin Record since 2001 until retiring due to health issues. Debora was an unique person that loved all animals and outdoor activities. She cared for many animals and worked with the Humane Society and Heart of Michigan to find homes and care for strays. She would work tirelessly trying to find animal owners at her own expense. She will be remembered as a great Mother and the kind of person that would put others needs before hers.
Debora is survived by her husband, Charles Swift; son, Joe Lewis of Beaverton; daughter, Angie Lewis of Gladwin and her fiancée Trey Herring III; sister, Mariatta Trip of Midland and many nephews and nieces.
