Deanna Lynn (Sokeland) Judy, 51, of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, in Franklin. She departed this life with her family, by her side; after a courageous eight year battle with cancer. Deanna was born May 19, 1965, in Paoli, to Randy and Darla (Bowman) Sokeland.
She was a homemaker. Deanna was a devoted and loving Christian, wife, mother, nana, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. She lived her entire life in faithful service to God and was a member of Lakeview Church of Christ, in Columbus. Her love for her husband, children, and grandchildren were obvious to all who knew her. Deanna’s favorite pastime was to spoil her grandkids.
Deanna is survived by her husband, Ray Judy of Franklin, two children, Matt (Ashley) Judy of Hanover and Logan (Rebecca) Judy of Lafeyette, her parents, Randy and Darla Sokeland of Orleans, two brothers, Justin (Susan) Sokeland of Bedford and Aaron (Laurie) Sokeland of Bloomington, one sister Leta (Bryan) Horstman of Evansville, five grandchildren, Reagan. Makenzie, Ethan, Grayson, and Alice, and several nieces and nephews.
