Mr. Dawson L. Harrell, age 96, of Newnan, formally of Decatur, passed away on December 21, 2011 after a short illness.
Mr. Harrell retired from the U.S. Army after 22 years and then retired from Printpack Inc.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Virginia Harrell and three brothers and a son in law.
Mr. Harrell is survived by his son and daughter in law, Jack and Betty Harrell of Lilburn; daughter, Ann Payne of Newnan; sister, Mary F. Miller of California; brother and sister in law, Dwight and Ann Harrell of Alabama and sister in law Mylissa Hall of Fitzgerald, GA.
In addition to his son and daughter Mr. Harrell is survived by 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
