David W. Blalock, 51, of Mebane died at the Hospice Home in Burlington on Sunday, January 8, 2017 following a few months’ illness.
A native of Alamance County he was the son of Roy Eugene Blalock and Barbara Edgerton Newsome, who survive. David enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his parents he is survived by two sons, Chad Thomas Blalock and wife Marci of Snow Camp and Alex Ray Blalock and fiancé Whitney of Gibsonville; two grandsons, Landon and Braxton; a brother, Niles Newsome, Jr. of Myrtle Beach; a sister, Melody Newsome Shambley and husband Douglas of Burlington; a half-brother, Nicholas Blalock of Raleigh; girlfriend Jody Dellinger of Haw River; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky L. Blalock.
