DAVID W. PLOWMAN, 77, resident of Deming passed away Saturday January 26, 2019 at his home.  As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held.

David was born January 1, 1942 in Ottumwa, Iowa to Wilmer and Leota (Bales) Plowman.  He was a graduate of Iowa University and was an Industrial Manager until his retirement.  He and his wife Dianne raised their 2 children in Streamwood, Illinois and after Dianne, his wife of 51 years, passed away he made Deming his home.  He has lived in Deming for 2 years and loved the desert, the mountains, and especially the green chile that his adopted state of New Mexico is famous for.  David also enjoyed reading, woodworking, stamp collecting, genealogy, traveling, watching his quail in the yard and playing with his dogs.

David is survived by his son, Luke Plowman of Streamwood, IL; daughter, Deborah Plowman of Brookfield, IL.; his companion Claudia A. Walsh of Deming; and his sister, Mary Waldron of Ft. Mill, South Carolina.
