David W. Derrick, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 6, 2017. He was born on November 2, 1929 to the late Eugene and Thelma Morris Derrick. David was a veteran of Air Force serving during the Korean War. He was employed as a pharmacist working for G&G Pharmacy, Derrick Drugs and CVS retiring in 2001.
David is survived by his spouse Mary Handy; children Jean (Robert) Pison, James Derrick; two grandchildren Scott Pison, David (Kelsey) Pison; siblings Nila Rae, Phyllis Hurlburt; sister-in-law’s Joyce Derrick and Dorothy Derrick. He is preceded in passing by his parents; daughter Karen Derrick; brothers Elbert and Warren Derrick.
