David Owen Turner, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away on February 21, 2016, at his home.
He was born June 15, 1944, in Ontario, Oregon, to Theodore Roswell Turner and Barbara Jeanne Westfall Turner. He grew up and attended schools in the area. In 1961, he joined the U.S. Navy where he earned the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class and was stationed in Puerto Rico.
On January 15, 1971, he married Bertha Joy Brower in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The couple made their home in Idaho Falls and raised three children: Jeff, Kerri, and Wendy. He worked as a carpenter before joining the INL where he worked until his retirement.
David enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, four wheeling, PBR (Professional Bull Riders), Nascar, little road trips, and dutch oven cooking.
