Monroe – David Sikes, 74, entered into new life on Saturday, November 26, 2016. Born April 03, 1942 in Union County, NC to the late Percy and Dorothy Sikes. David and his wife, Betty Sikes were married for 54 years.
Mr. Sikes was an electronic tech and loved model airplanes. He enjoyed anything electronic. He was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Monroe, NC. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Surviving him to cherish his memories; his wife Betty Sikes of Monroe; son, David Michael Sikes and wife Lisa of Monroe, NC; daughters, Sherry Sikes-Rodgers and husband Jerry Rodgers Jr. and Monica Polk and husband Dwayne Polk both of Monroe, NC; brother, Kenneth Sykes of Monroe, NC; sisters, Terri Blackwelder of Concord, NC and Cathy Forbis of Matthews, NC; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
