He was born on October 28, 1974 in Anderson, Indiana and resided most of his life in Redmond, Washington.
David graduated from Central Washington University with an Associates Degree. He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a Life Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.
David enjoyed aviation photography, outdoor cooking and trying new foods.
David is survived by his parents, Steven and Beckie Matyas of Anderson; twin daughters, Audrey Matyas and Emily Matyas, and their mother Melissa of Seattle, WA; 3 brothers, Michael (Cherie) Matyas of Monroe, WA, Greg (Karen) Matyas, and Jeff (Allison) Matyas of Kent, WA; aunt and uncle, Steve and Barbara Perry; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents, Edward and Bettie Gritter.
