David R. Ramsey, 89, of Anderson, passed away on November 14, 2012 at Meadowbrooke Rehab Center & Suites.

He was born on February 25, 1923 in Indianapolis, and resided most of his life in Anderson. David graduated from Tech High School, and Butler University. He served his country in the Army during WWII. He is a retired teacher for Anderson Community Schools, teaching for 39 years. He was a private piano and organ teacher for many years. He played the organ for First United Methodist Church for 35 years, and St. Matthew United Methodist Church for 15 years. He loved traveling, classical music, and square dancing, and was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church.

David is survived by his loving spouse whom he married August 17, 1946, Doris Geer Ramsey, children, Cynthia Suetterlin, Dwight Necia Ramsey, Janine Gary McKinney, Gregg Ramsey, Mark Ramsey, and Michele Rodney Schadler, sister, Carol Wulf, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four nephews, and one niece.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelle and Alfred Ira Ramsey, and his sister, Lora Benson.
