David Michael Woodhams, 64, of West Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at his residence.
He was born October 14, 1957, in Holland, Michigan, to Walter and Dorothy “Dottie” Woodhams.
Dave was a graduate of Peru Sr. High School in Peru, Indiana, and he received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Bloomington, Kelley School of Business.
On September 27, 1986, He married Wanda Glassburn and she survives.
Dave was a member of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament in West Lafayette, where he enjoyed seeing his friends and attending fish fries. He was a Senior Sales Representative for Kimball Midwest, and he had many hobbies, including boating, fishing, spending time on Lake Michigan, and tinkering on vintage motorcycles and scooters. He was especially well-known for his grilling and b-b-q expertise, and in 1989 he took 5th place at the Kansas State Championship Great Lenexa BBQ Competition. He loved spending time with his family, and he will be dearly missed.
Surviving along with Wanda and his mother are two sons, Michael (wife Stephanie) Woodhams of Zionsville and Anthony “AJ” Woodhams of Bronx, NY, three brothers, Walter A. Woodhams, Mark Woodhams and John (wife Pam) Woodhams all of Peru, as well as a grandson, Dean.
Dave was preceded in death by his father, Walter B. Woodhams and a sister, Anne Schultheis.
