David Michael Baldiga, 53, of Upton, died peacefully July 6, 2013 surrounded by his family. Born August 5, 1959, Dave grew up in Bellingham and Mendon and was an Eagle Scout and 1977 graduate of Nipmuc Regional High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and worked for more than 30 years in the construction management field. Dave was married to the love of his life, Christine (Dodd), for 31 years. As leaders in the Worldwide Marriage Encounter ministry, Dave and Chris witnessed their love for each other to countless couples and priests throughout New England and the world.

As active members of Holy Angels Parish in Upton, Dave and Chris served as Eucharistic Ministers and taught religious education classes.

Dave’s first love and devotion has always been his family. He loved exploring the outdoors, especially mountain-top vistas, with his family. Dave and his family cherished their time together camping and skiing in the White Mountains and discovering the world on their trips across the country, Italy, and Greece.

In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by his loving parents Robert and Lois Baldiga of Mendon; his children, Sarah of Cambridge, Julie and her fiancé William Fitzpatrick of Framingham, and Jonathan and his wife Christina of Salem; and his three brothers, William and his wife Nancy of Milford, Mark of Cape Coral, FL, and Joseph and his wife Mary of Hopkinton. Dave is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.
