David “Meatloaf” Allen Ford, 63, of Fairmont, West Virginia passed away on August 13, 2022 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV after a long and courageous battle with various cancers. He was the son of the late Junior Ray Ford and Marcella Anna Harding Ford of Fairmont, West Virginia. David was born on September 28, 1958, at Fairmont General Hospital. David attended Marion County Schools. David loved his family, friends and the great outdoors! He was happiest when he had a fishing line in the water, being in the Mountains or at the Farm. David held many jobs over the years and you should check out the Stonework at Mt. Zion that he and Mr. Lewis completed. They found the stone in the wooded around the area and cut each piece to accomplish the beautiful project. He was a framer, caregiver to a dear friend, made artificial snow at Snowshoe just to name a few. David loved riding the back roads of West Virginia with the windows rolled down and letting the wind blow.

David is survived by siblings: Wilma Burgreen (Doug) of SC, Ray Ford of SC, Lisa Nestor (Paul) of Fairmont, Brad Ford (Cory) of Morgantown. Stepson-Jason Jones (Roxanne) and Stepdaughter-Melissa Jones and several Grandchildren all of Fairmont. David loved his nieces and nephews, and they will miss him greatly: Elizabeth Spears (Chris) and children Christopher, Kaylee, Emily of SC, Alan Burgreen (Caroline) of SC, Frank Merrill of Fairmont, Devin Nestor and Luca Nestor both of Fairmont, and Hailey Ford of Morgantown. One great nephew due to make an appearance in August, Oliver Robin. David has an adopted family whom they loved spending time together especially at the Farm.
