David McUne, 65, of Anderson, passed away on November 1, 2012 at the Saint John’s Health System. He was born on September 16, 1947 in Anderson, Indiana and resided most of his life in Anderson.

He served his country in the Army for nine years where he received the National Defense Service Medal and Staff Personnel Support Badge with Rifle Bar. He worked a total of 34 years as a Truck Driver, the last company being Rumler Trucking. He was a member of VFW Post 266 and he put a memorial for all veterans at the Veterans of Madison County location on Tenth Street.

David is survived by his loving spouse of 22 years, Deborah Collier McUne, children, David James Lori McUne, Dedra Joseph Purdon, Angel Douglas Desbrough, Eliza McUne; step-daughter, Stacey Short; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way, several nieces and nephews. Sisters: Janice Jerry Osborne, Cecelia Donnie Hardin, Betty Ehrhart and Cat Cain.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Crystal Maybelle McUne and Betty Essex and Fred Cain, brothers; Marvin McUne and Bobby McUne.
