Family always mattered to him. The wearing of his favorite McLeod tie was his trademark to any function. He served his country proudly during World War II as a Master Sergeant in the Army, stationed in Africa as well as Italy. A few years after his return, he began a long career with Birmingham Trust, later Southtrust. As things change in life, David became an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church. He gave unselfishly his time, energy and charity for the benefit of many others over the years. His efforts touched countless individuals and organizations during his lifetime. As a cheerful giver, he served the Lord with his heart and soul.
