David Martin Wetzel, 41, of Forest Glen Drive, South Bend, IN, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 in his residence.
He was born on February 28, 1964 to Michael L. and Norma M. (Ault) Wetzel in Columbus, OH, and has lived in South Bend since 1990, coming from Bristol, IN.
Mr. Wetzel was currently employed with Dudeck Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc. in South Bend, IN, where he worked as a Journeyman Roofer.
On October 8, 1993, he married Dorette F. Russell. She survives.
Along with his loving wife of 12 years; he is survived by one son, Martin David Wetzel at home; his mother, Norma Tess (husband Robert S.) White of Bristol, IN; his father, Michael L.
One sister, Molly Lee Wetzel preceded him in death.
Mr. Wetzel was a 1982 graduate of Central High School in Elkhart, IN; and was a member of Local No. 23 Roofers Union.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran, where he served his country from 1982-1986. David served three years in the Old Guard, stationed in Washington, D.C.
David was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, and friend to many.
