David Lee Haddix, age 61, of Route 1, Thornton, passed away March 3, 2010, in Grafton. He was born at Thornton, WV, July 12, 1948, a son of the late Frank and Violet (McDaniel) Haddix. Mr. Haddix was a 1967 graduate of Grafton High School and a disabled US Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He had worked construction as a concrete finisher. Surviving are: one son, David E. Haddix, of Grafton; two grandchildren, Skylar and Gage Haddix, of Grafton, one stepson, Josh Cochran and wife Amanda, of West Union; three step grandchildren, Caleb, Hannah, and Wyatt Cochran; three sisters, Daphne Plott, of Grafton, Mary Himes, of FL, and Sue Huffman, of OH; and one special cousin who was like a brother to him, Floyd “Junior” Haddix and wife Cindy, of Grafton. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by: three sisters, Betty Wright, Shirley Myers, and Ruth Ann Cleavenger; and two brothers, Delmas Franklin “Buck” Haddix, and James Otis “Buddy” Haddix.
