David Lee Dawson passed away unexpectedly in his sleep Monday, November 10, 2014. He was born on November 4, 1985 in Mobile, Alabama.
David was preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, James K. Buckwalter of Destin; FL and leaves behind, Fiancé, Christina Shrecengost, of Ft. Walton Beach; FL, Mother, Mary Ann Dawson and Grandmother, Trudy Buckwalter, both of Destin, FL; Father, Dennis Dawson of Opelousas, Louisiana; Grandparents, Elmer and Virginia Dawson of Charlotte, North Carolina; several Aunts, Uncles, cousins and other extended family; and 100’s of friends all of whom are heartbroken and will deeply miss his presence on this Earth and in their lives. He seemed to make a big impact on everyone he knew.
David grew up and spent most of his life in Destin, FL where he developed a love of fishing as a small boy and it became his life’s passion. His big outgoing personality, smile and huge heart drew countless people of all ages into his life, all of whom he cared deeply about and considered his close friends. David attended school in Destin, FL, and Marietta, GA; attended college at Tallahassee Community College; then moved on to The University of Georgia. David worked in sales, construction and landscaping, but had recently decided he wanted to follow his life passion for fishing and was planning on making it his career.
