David Jurado, 37, lifetime Deming resident died Monday September 20, 2010 in Deming.
David was born December 17, 1972 in Deming to Delia Santa Maria and Emilio Jurado. He was a 1991 graduate of the Deming Public Schools where he excelled in football. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in education from Western New Mexico University in 1995 and afterwards Coach Jurado returned to Deming Public Schools where he taught Special Education at Deming High School. His fervor was football but coached baseball for some time, as well. David was a communicant at St. Ann’s Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Ole Smokie Car Club and the New Mexico Coaches Association.
Survivors include his parents Delia and Emilio Jurado, Deming; brother, Oscar ‘O. J.’ Jurado and a sister Eugenia R. ‘Gina’ Jurado, both of Deming.
Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Jose and Eugenia Jurado; maternal grandparents, Esequiel and Soledad Santa Maria and an infant brother, Cyprian Jurado.
