David Johnson of Plymouth, died peacefully on Tuesday evening March 15th at Life Care Center of Plymouth. He is the beloved husband of Terri (Meloni) Johnson. Born in Wareham, Massachusetts on April 5, 1941, son of the late Carl W. and Elsie J. (Carlson) Johnson and was a graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School. He served with the US Army National Guard Military Police Unit. David retired from the Town of Plymouth after 30 years of service and was the mechanic for the Plymouth Fire Department. He was also a third generation cranberry grower and purchased a small piece of cranberry bog in 1975 at which time he became a member of the Ocean Spray Cooperative. He and his wife own and operate Pitch Pine Cranberry is a lifetime member of the Seaside Club of Plymouth and former member of the Cold Spring Club in Plymouth and the Hilltop Club in Kingston. He is also a member of the Plymouth Retired Employees Association and the Mass. Retirees Association. His hobbies were fishing and hunting. Besides his wife Terri he is survived by his brother Douglas Johnson and his wife Paula of Lakeville MA., his nephew Dan Johnson and great nephews Daniel and Thomas Johnson all of San Diego, CA. and his many friends who gave of their time to, call and visit while he was unable and at Life Care.
