David H Smithey age 63, of Gary, IN was called by the Lord on Sunday, April 26, 2020.David is survived by his loving mother, Barbara Smithey; siblings; Deborah, Terry and Edward; sisters, Suzi and Amber; daughter, Shannon M. Smithey Trotier and her mother, Belinda; precious grandson, Elijah; daughters, Jessica and Ashley Smithey; love of his life, Maria Garza and her two sons, Sam and Carlos; dozen nieces and nephews and so many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends to name… but all were very loved by David.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ollie Hugh Smithey; and brother, Jeffery Smithey.

We are asking no more than 10 people at a time as requested by our Governor of Indiana. To maintain that, we ask families to wait in their vehicles in the front of the building and we will usher them in as other families paying their respects leave.
