David H. Nitzschke, age 66, Logansport, passed away at 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis, from short-term cancer.
He was born in Logansport on December 29, 1951, to the late Virgil and Edna Nickelson Nitzschke. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Delbert Nitzschke and Raymond Nitzschke.
Surviving are his companion, Tamara J. Conrad and sister, Linda (Carl) Gibbs, all of Logansport.
David had worked as a lineman for the Logansport Municipal Utilities from September 1971 to February 2007, when he retired.
He was a member of the former Logansport Eagles. He enjoyed the quiet life. He would sit on the tailgate of his truck with his dog, Lucy, in the spring through fall and wave to many individuals and they would wave back. It made him happy.
