David Gene Espich, 73, of New Palestine, passed away on August 24, 2018 in Indianapolis. He was born on November 29, 1944 in Indianapolis.
He is survived by his sons; David (Andrea), Joseph (Megan) and Matthew (Tracy) Espich; brothers; Frank and Bill Espich, 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife; Emily Kaye (Patton) Espich, parents; Billy Gene and Betty Lou (Wills) Espich.
David was a steamfitter and retired from the Indianapolis Star Newspaper. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He received the 2011 Citizen of the Year Award.
