David E. Scougall, 70, of Plainville, beloved husband and friend of forty-eight years to Suzanne (Bouthiller) Scougall, passed away Friday, June 18, 2010, at home, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  He was born July 19, 1939 in Springfield, MA, son of the late John A. and Bernice (Wojtkiewicz) Scougall.  

He had served in the U.S. Navy and has been a resident of Plainville for many years.  David was employed as a machinist and supervisor for Dell Manufacturing Company in Farmington for forty-three years, having retired in 2005.  He was an avid golfer and reader.  He loved to travel, especially vacationing at Cape Cod during the summer, with his family and grandchildren.  He was a member of St.

Besides his wife, Suzanne, he is survived by his son, David Scott Scougall and his wife, Valerie, and children, Alexander, Stephen, and Darianna of Thomaston; his daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” Rothkugel and her fiancé, Jeffrey Cistulli, and children, Christopher and Amanda of Bristol; his brother, John “Jack” Scougall and his wife, Pierrette, of Enfield; his brother-in-law, Paul Bouthiller and his wife, Patricia, of South Hadley, MA, his sister-in-law, Jeanne Johnson and her husband, Neal, of Wilbraham, MA; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends.  David’s family would like to thank the Masonic Care Hospice Team with a special thanks to Katie Precourt and Joanne Foohey.
