David D. Collins, 72, of Galesburg, died on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, 9:15 PM, at his home in Galesburg.David was born on June 6, 1944 in Montclaire, New Jersey.
He was the son of David H. and Natalie J. Collins. He is survived by a brother, Roy J. Collins of Gaithersburg, MD; and two nephews, Joshua R. and Jonathan E. Collins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant sister, Susan Jane Collins.
David received Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. He worked as an electrical engineer and computer programmer at Digilog until his retirement. He loved the trains, and was a true “rail fan.”
