David Charles Maine, 62, of Middletown, husband, confidant and best friend of Margaret “Peggy” (Quesnette) Maine, passed away suddenly on Monday morning, August 18th at his home after a brief illness. Born on January 4th, 1946 in Hartford, he was the son of the late Vernon and Muriel (Meyers) Maine. David was employed with the Hartford Police Department in 1968 and retired in 1990 and was also a Hartford County Deputy Sheriff. He was presently employed as a Supervisor at Healthcare Security and was a member of the Hartford Police Veterans Association. David enjoyed old cars and the Old West especially Tombstone, AZ and loved traveling with his wife. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Alan Maine and his wife, Beata (Zdziebko) of Middletown; his daughter, Christina (Maine) Guerin and her husband, Christopher of Meriden; four grandchildren, Alandra and Cory Maine and Austin and Christopher Guerin; a brother, Kenneth Maine and his wife, Donna of Stratton, ME; several nieces and nephews and his dear friends, Robert and Ella LeVasseur of Middletown.
