David Bates, 62, of Barkhamsted, CT passed away unexpectedly with his beloved son at his side on June 4, 2008. Born in Brewer, ME on August 20, 1945, he is the son of Hubert and Gertrude Bates. His beloved uncle Anson Thom predeceases David. David was a graduate of Brewer High School and Husson College followed by an accomplished career as an executive with Continental Insurance Company. His passions and interests were all thing political, historical and treasuring and supporting our natural wife, Gail; children Alison and Geoffrey, 2 grandchildren Max and Nick, and his best pal Lily survive David . His brother Roger also survives him.
