David Badal, Jr. age 95 of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away peacefully on March 2, 2021.
David was born on November 1, 1925, in Yonkers, New York to the late David Sr. and Helena Badal. David served his country as a member of the United States Army, 99th Infantry, where he was deployed on the front lines of the Battle of the Bulge in December of 1945.
David was a recipient of the Purple Heart, having sustained wounds during the battle. After an extended convalescence in Paris, France, he was honorably discharged. Upon his return to the United States, he began a 31-year career in the United States Postal Service.
David married the love of his life in 1953, Irene Morin, after having met her on vacation in Lake George, New York. David and Irene raised a family of four children after settling in Yonkers, New York.
David is survived by his children, David of Florida, Gregory and his wife, Kathy of Virginia, Charles and his wife, Leah of Virginia, Jaqueline Wixon, and her husband, William of New York. David is predeceased by his beloved wife, Irene; daughter in law, Roberta, and his two sisters, Helen (Nellie) DiCarmine and Shirley Ianazzo. David was blessed with nine grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Kaitlyn, Alyssa, Christa, Michael, Leanna, Emily, and Kimberly; in addition, twelve great-grandchildren.
