David Arthur Anderson, 72, of Lebanon, beloved husband of Eileen (Davis) Anderson, passed away Sunday (Aug. 9th) at the Wm. W. Backus Hospital in Norwich with loving family at his side. Born June 21, 1943 in Southampton, LI, NY, he was the son of the late Reuben Christopher and Maude (Erickson) Anderson, Sr. A proud Navy veteran, he served for four years during the Vietnam War before his honorable discharge in July of 1965. David had worked as an automobile mechanic for many years and then went on to work in wallpapering before his retirement. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish and watch the birds and deer in his retirement. In addition to his loving wife of 51 years, he leaves his sister, Louise(Anderson) Smith of Inverness, FL; and numerous extended family and friends. He was predeceased by two brothers, Chris and John; and his brother-in-law, Kenneth E. Smith, along with his parents.
