David Allen Swalve, 44, of Davenport, IA, formerly of Okoboji passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022, at his home in Davenport, IA. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 26th from 2-4pm at Pub 19 at the Okoboji View Golf Course. David was born on April 18, 1977, to Allen “Peewee” and Kathy (Kuhlman) Swalve. He graduated from Okoboji High School. David has worked in Manufacturing in the Lakes Area and in most recently in Davenport. In his free time, he enjoyed gaming, and socializing with family and friends.
He loved watching football, especially his favorite the Detroit Lions. He also loved watching the Chicago Cubs. He was always the funny one in his group of friends trying to make everyone laugh, he enjoyed going out with his friends He is survived by his father Peewee Swalve of Estherville; brother Kevin (Jill) Swalve and their children Makinzi and Brayden of Superior; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, mother, cousin Tim Swalve, aunts and uncles. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in David’s name and sent to the family.
