David Wolfe, 81, of Cassopolis, formerly of Fenton, Michigan, passed away peacefully among family and friends on Saturday, October 20, 2012 in Emeritus at Arborwood, Granger, Indiana. He was born December 27, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to Alan and Grace (Radebaugh) Wolfe. He married Betty Anne Mausteller on December 26, 1953 in East Lansing, Michigan in the Michigan State University Chapel.
She preceded him in death.David earned a Master’s Degree in Horticulture from Michigan State and worked with fruit growers as a chemical sales representative for Uniroyal. David loved nature and trees and was an avid flower gardener all his life. He had a way with animals and loved birds, horses, cats and dogs-most especially his beloved dog “Bernie,” who was with him when he died.
David had a taste for adventure and when his wife was alive they spent much time in the Caribbean, living for some years on St. John in the Virgin Islands.David was a loving husband and father who enjoyed helping his wife and children with their projects. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. David is survived by his daughter and son in law, Sherrie Wolfe and Michael DePaul of Cassopolis; one son and daughter in law, John Alan and Cheryl Wolfe of Santa Rosa, California; and one brother and sister in law, Philip and Edie Wolfe of Hilton Head, South Carolina.
