David A. Himelick, 91 of Marion, Indiana died on February 22, 2014, at Rolling Meadows Heath Care in La Fontaine, Indiana.
Born Friday, November 24, 1922 in Marion, Indiana, son of the late Elva Himelick and Mary Edna (Scott ) Himelick. He was a graduate of Marion Marion High School and attended MarionBusiness CollegeHe is survived by his wife of 66 years,Marilyn MeredithHimelick.They were married on December 6, 1947.David was a self-employed contractor and the owner of Suntane Bottle Gas that his father started, which is now Empire Gas. He was a member of Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall where he has served as an elder for may years. He enjoyed traveling and his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are son, Mark (Sharon) Himelick of Fort Myers Beach, FL, daughter, JoEllen (Richard) Jernigan of Marion, IN. 4 grandchildren;Carrie (Matt) Chavis, Waterloo, IN Jeff (Heather)Jernigan, Indianapolis, IN Brady(Christy) Jernigan, Lapel, IN Andrew Jernigan, Calver, IN 11 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Wilson, Robert, and Joseph Himelick.
