Daryl Lee Sullivan, 57, of New Carlisle, Indiana, formerly of New Buffalo, died Wednesday night, July 12, 2006.Daryl was born November 21, 1948, in Michigan City, Indiana to Anton and Virginia (O’Donnohue) Novacek. She graduated from New Buffalo High in 1967, where she was Homecoming Queen, a cheerleader, class president and recipient of the DAR Award. Daryl continued her education at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo.On April 11, 1981, she married Jerry Sullivan in LaPorte, Indiana.

Daryl was employed by Sullair in Michigan City, Indiana for 14 years and was a former New Buffalo School bus driver where she was known as “Dee Dee”. Daryl was a friendly and outgoing grandmother, enjoying time with her grandchildren and taking long walks outdoors.Survivors include her husband Jerry; daughter, Diana (Mike) Jones of New Carlisle, step children, Quinn (Danny) West of Michigan City; Gerry (Daren) Bush of Michigan City; Ada Bracken of Michigan City and Galen (Leah) Sullivan of Carver, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Abbey, Ben, Bryan, Aaron, Mike, Tia, Cori, Kali and Noah; great grandchildren, Dawson and Damien, and her brother, Richard Novacek of Lakeside, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her father, Anton, her mother Virginia Dickhout, and her brother, David Novacek.
