Darrell W. Murphy, Sr., age 68, of Thornton, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011. He was born in Grafton, December 18, 1942, a son of the late Earl G. and Hazel F. (Plum) Murphy. His wife, Wanda R. Murphy, preceded him in death on August 25, 2009. He was retired having been employed at Anchor Hocking Glass as a shift foreman. Surviving are: one daughter, Brenda Sigmon and husband Dennis, of Bennington, IN; one son, Darrell W. Murphy, Jr. and wife Theresa, of Greendale, IN; six grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; one brother, Pastor Randall Murphy and wife Martha, of Grafton; two sisters, Diana Wiseman and husband Eugene, of Philippi, and Judy Bonell, of Cortland, OH. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by one daughter, Debbie Murphy -Pepe.
