Darrell W. Hughes age 56, of Ashland, died Wednesday June 8, 2011 at Grant Medical Center. He was born on February 3, 1955 in Charleston, South Carolina, the son of Melvin and Jacqueline Hughes. Mr. Hughes had been a resident of Ashland the last 7 years and previously lived in Bucyrus. He had been a Welder for Ashland Conveyor Products. Mr. Hughes enjoyed building model cars and planes, and was an avid Star Trek fan.
Survivors include his parents, Melvin and Jacqueline Hughes of South Carolina; daughter, Jacqueline Hughes of Ashland; sons and daughter in- law, James Cutright of Louisiana, Joshua and Sunny Hughes of Alabama; 3 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; brother Doug Hughes of South Carolina; along with his sister Darlene Logothetis of South Carolina.
