Darlene C. Prokop, age 62, of Spirit Lake, passed away Monday, February 22, 2009, at Country View Manor in Sibley, Iowa. She was born on July 7, 1946, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Edwin and Hilda Huelsbeck.
Darlene graduated from Milford High School in 1964. She worked as a waitress and a cook at the Pancake House in Okoboji, for many years.
Darlene enjoyed spending her spare time painting ceramics and playing bingo. She also enjoyed spending time with her cats, who she loved dearly.
Darlene is survived by her three children, Kellie Deramus, and her husband, James, of Mena, Arkansas, Michael Prokop of Spirit Lake, and Shane Prokop of Arnolds Park
