Darleen Merdis Swafford, age 93, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away at her residence on October 19, 2021. She was born on October 21, 1927 in Barnesville, Minnesota to John and Pearl O’Neill. She worked at IU Health Bloomington Hospital for 17 years, and attended Family Life and Worship Center in Bloomington. Darleen was a caring and devoted wife and mother.
Darleen is survived by her brother, Danny O’Neill of Superior, Wisconsin, her 5 children, Ron and Julia Swafford of North Vernon, Indiana, Jack and Carla Swafford of Ellettsville, Indiana, Mike and TJ Swafford of Gosport, Indiana, Gerrie and Mike Carroll of Bloomington, Indiana, and Tara and Richard Hoffman of LaPorte, Indiana, 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Darleen was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, and sibling, June Frye, and great-grandson, Kaleb Bierbaum.
