Darius H. Mehrdad was born on October 15, 1988 and passed from this life on July 15, 2016 at the age of 27. He was preceded in death by 4 grandparents, 1 aunt, and 2 uncles. He is survived by Walter Scott Idol, his father Mohsen Mehrdad and step mothers Fereshteh Saberi, and Shaida Mansorkhani, his mother and step father LaDonna and James Pybus, his grandmother Connie McGuire and grandfather Jim Pybus, and his brothers and sister Cameron, Cyrus, Pouria, Dalton, Shawn and Shelby.

Dar’s life was largely defined by his love of music, writing, photography, martial arts, the love of his family and close friends, and his spiritual walk with God. His love of musical instruments began in his youth at the age of three when all he wanted for his birthday was a guitar with “real” strings, not the toy instruments with buttons. He received his first electric guitar as a gift from his cousin Joseph Mehrdad. Joseph taught him how to play and he later become a more proficient player with lessons. In middle school, Dar played the upright bass with an extraordinary natural ability which could only be considered a gift. Later in high school he switched from playing the bass to the violin. He found a home in his heart for playing the violin instrument and musical pieces. He most recently spent time learning to play the saxophone and cello. Dar loved music theory, musical composition and improvisation, and arranging pieces.

Dar loved working on entrepreneurial endeavors. Even at a young age of 8 or 9 years, he wanted to be an entrepreneur selling cooking utensils. “Everyone needs those!,” he said.
