Dario M. Leija
Dario M. Leija, 83, of Hagerman, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls.
Dario was born on December 19, 1929 in Dr. Arroyo, N. L., Mexico to Leopoldo and Mariana Leija.
He married Julia Fabela in Walla Walla, Washington on June 25, 1959. They moved to the Hagerman area where he farmed and ranched for many years. On the farm in Hagerman they raised their surviving children of three sons, George Leija of Meridian, Idaho, Jaime (Thera) Leija and Leo (Brandy) Leija, both of Hagerman, Idaho and two daughters, Mary Ann (Casey) Hogan of Eugene, Oregon and Bea (Cecil) Murphy of Caldwell, Idaho.
He is preceded in death by his wife; his parents; two brothers, Raymundo and Abraham; and two sisters, Guadalupe and Francisca.
Dario is survived by his children; nineteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four brothers and two sisters.
