Darcy Derrell Lee “Godsun”, was born March 20, 1972, to the late Leola Williams Lee and Theodore R. Lee in Mound Bayou, Mississippi.

Darcy received his education and graduated from Greenville High School, in Greenville, Mississippi. He later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, where he resided until his death.

He was self-employed, and started his own lawn care company, “Mow ‘Em Sayin”.  Darcy was an easy to like, friendly  person. He was a man of few words, but his words carried weight. He was unique in his ability to show people they were special. He was also a very giving man; he would give any of his friends a few dollars if they were in need. “Godsun” was a man of integrity, passion, loyalty, and love for his family and friends.  He was a loving father to his children, to whom he was dutiful and faithful. His special friend expressed, “There are not enough words to describe my boo.” Darcy enjoyed life; he often watched “Diner’s, Drive-In’s and Dive’s” on Food Network and craved the dishes served with rice, gravy, and a Southern style meat. He also watched the ID channel crime investigating shows – he would usually conclude “who done it” before anyone else. He enjoyed watching movies in the theater, traveling to vacation and sporting events, including the Indianapolis 500 and Alabama football games, and experiencing music, both live and recorded.

Darcy Derrell “Godsun” Lee departed this life on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at the age of 47. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Daryien Z. Lee.

Darcy  leaves to cherish his memory his three daughters, Brielle, Shayronia, and Theiree; sons, Jonathan and Darius; brothers, Michael Lee and DeLando Lee; his aunts, Catherine Tyler and Mary Lewis; and his special friend and love, Tracy Murray. He also leaves three grandchildren, four nieces, one nephew, and a host of family and many friends.
