Daphine Lauretta Ford Luscap was born on April 13, 1923, to Charles Ford and Cecilia Markham. Along with her sister, the late Winifred Adams, they learned and developed a strong work ethic from their mother and the importance of family. She was born in Bocas Del Toro, Panama, and later raised in Colon, Panama. At the age of 20, Daphine married Henry Luscap, and they had three children: Victor, Cecilia, and Jose. While a resident of Rainbow City, Canal Zone (Panama), Daphine was employed at the Commissary for several years, she immigrated to the U.S. in 1963.

Daphine leaves to cherish her memory her children, Victor A. (Tony) Luscap (Marcela), Cecilia M. Pretlow, and Jose A. Luscap; her seven grandchildren, Victor A. Luscap, Jr. (Lisa), Eugene Puitt (Jennifer), Valentino Luscap (Jeantel), Anna James (Jason), Jahna Harper (Ramon), Alesha Pretlow, Karl Butler; and seventeen great-grandchildren, Pharaoh, Daedalus, Julian, Brayden, Chelsea, Carissa, Chasity, Valentino Jr., Ava, Jason, Jr., Andre, Adriana, Sebastian, Preston, Pierce, Keon, and Kenyon, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of close friends.

Daphine, an example of Faith, Love, and Strength, will forever be in our hearts
