Danny W. “White Owl” Thompson, age 65, of Maxey Flat Road, Hillsboro, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
Born March 8, 1956, in Dayton, Ohio, he was a son of the late John Huff Thompson and Freda Parish Thompson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Thompson.
He is survived by two sons, Danny “Hoot” (Cristal) Thompson II of Toledo, Ohio, and Billy John “B. J.” Thompson of Crain Creek, four grandchildren, Paige Thompson, Sydney Thompson, Josie Thompson, and Jacie Thompson; and the mother of his children, Debra Weaver of Crain Creek.
Other survivors include one brother, William “Bill” Thompson and wife Melissa; one sister, Jacqueline Johnson and husband Sean, all of Maxey Flat; a sister-in-law, Connie Thompson of Morehead; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.
“White Owl” was a self-employed carpenter and worked for many years alongside his dad and his brother Johnny.
